Inlaying
What has made the Carpanelli collections so famous since 1919 is the work conducted by
hand - inlays in natural wood all complete by hand by our ebony experts. From the beginning our entire production has
been characterised by our culture and love of inlaying and still today, as in the past, all our inlays are carried
out by hand and nuanced, a process that creates natural colour effects and will leave you impressed.
Inlays are made with precious materials such as: elm, myrtle, palisander, cherry and can also be made with mother of
pearl.
The pieces that we create year after year never outdate, they are timeless classics. The inlays transform into a
suggestive oasis, into an image that conveys nature and man built to create classic but up to date pieces.
It is so that the colour of the inlays becomes the main feature creating a perfect balance between a natural yet
individual environment.
And so from artwork designs on tracing paper to transferring the designs to wood to the fretwork execution to the
creation of a nuance with a boiling-sand process to the jointed composition phase to the marquetry in a
press-assembler on the finished piece the Carpanelli pieces are born.
We can see that in every piece of furniture each particular is studied in detail for a selective public - a public
that comes from all over the world.
The authenticity of the Carpanelli collection is confirmed by our trademark which is proudly inlaid on every single
piece of our furniture.
